Honest limits
What to know before you start.
Your Notion plan needs AI meeting notes. Notion writes the notes, so the workspace must have Notion AI.
Normal phone calls can't be recorded. iPhone and Android don't let any app hear a phone call.
Nothing joins your meetings. On a laptop, record the call from the browser tab; no bot appears in the meeting.
On iPhone, keep the app on screen while recording. Android keeps going with a notification.
Very short recordings (under a minute) are too short for Notion to write notes.

Do I need Notion AI?
Yes. Record Labs brings the meeting to Notion; Notion AI writes the summary, action items and transcript. Your workspace's plan must include AI meeting notes.
Does it work with Google Meet, Zoom or Teams?
Yes, on a laptop. Open the meeting in your browser and choose to record your microphone plus that tab. Nobody sees a bot join.
Where is my audio kept?
On your device only. It goes to Notion when you press Send, and we don't keep a copy. You can delete it from your device whenever you like.
Can I use my own meeting template?
Yes. Pick any template in your meetings database, or none. If the template's name has placeholders like [Project] and [Type], the app asks for them when you send.
Which languages does it understand?
22 languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Dutch, Italian, Swedish, Hebrew and Polish. You choose the meeting's language before sending, and the notes come out in it. Notion lists Arabic, Hebrew and Polish as beta.
